Not all Scottish Folds have that mutation, though. For instance, Maru is a Scottish Fold, but his ears are erect. (You can still tell from his build and the shape of his face.)
Also, it appears that their ears can become erect if they’re put under severe amounts of stress. Don’t quote me on it though, I read it ages ago.
No, extreme stress gives them mutant super powers.
Letting them eat too much starch or unfortunate accidents with clothes irons is what unfolds their ears…
He’s “non-standard”. That just means the breeders sell them for cheap because they’re defective.
