Imo, there’s only one legitimate place for camping; objective modes where you have something to defend and it makes sense to set up shop and hold your ground. I play TDM most of the time, and I never camp unless I’ve got a lot of enemies coming at me and I need the cover.

Honestly, the two giants of the shooters, if you want it to be realistic, immersive, and a lengthy game, BF3. Sparadic, short, cheap games, MW3. Thats all there is to it now.

First of all cod is semi reallistic, liek a hollywood movie, still more reallistic than halo or quake or tf2 or unreal tournament.

The maps in mw3 are made in a circle, you cant camp, if you sit somewhere, you will be exposed left and right.

This is a case of game mechanics mixing. The only reason this could happen is that the jets move slower than in real life because even though the maps are big, there is still a map limit. And the only thing that’s really impossible is getting in the plane, killing the pilot is entirely plausible. This doesn’t happen very often at all and isn’t very easy to do even if you set it up.
Besides, even though this is unrealistic, it is still a guy sniping a jet pilot and then jumping in the empty plane. That’s pretty awesome. And look at the map size, and the very fact there is a jet, and bullet physics.
All the mechanics for a very realistic, yet still extremely fun game are here. And the level of realism is such that it only adds to the fun without getting super technical.
Another substantial difference is the players. It is much more likely that the player flying the jet would appreciate the kill and just let it go, not to say they won’t be annoyed about losing a jet, but still. Compare that to an average CoD player, who would be more likely to get really annoyed and leave the game, calling hax. That’s how it goes from my experience of both games anyway.

I like sniping, but I only have pistols as my backup, as a matter of honor and personal morals. I haven’t bought MW3, but I remember playing BO at my friend’s house. I typically used the L96 and some pistol as a secondary. Never akimbo, though. Akimbo doesn’t take a lot of skill. Headshots with Pythons are a little more difficult.

BF3 – best gameplay I’ve seen, getting to the gameplay is a different story, BF3 must be the beta test for another game or something. I think DICE haven’t heard of the testing part of software development….
TLDR:
MW3 = MW2 with new maps
BF3 = beta for next BF game
Mw3 = Epic Storyline and campaign, and real good cooperative missions
BF3 = Epic multiplayer with a plus of incredible graphics
It’s just that simple, play mw3 for campaign and battlefield 3 for multiplayer

Seriously, I don’t know why people call video games unrealistic. Nobody plays video games for the realism, and if they did, they should just do it IRL. I play BF3 and CoD and I enjoy them both. There’s no sense in comparing their realism or graphics. Most people that play CoD don’t even care about graphics, and there really isn’t any point to. I’m not hating on BF3, but i’m defending Call of Duty. Yeah, people camp a lot. It’s not that big of a deal. I’ve ran in to dozens of campers in BF3, and they camp in the same fashion, not just 100+ meters away with snipers.
Oh, and quickscoping is fun when you’re feeling sporadic and hyper. I could make plenty of memes about BF3 people trolling or being douchebags in general.
Spend more time playing the game than hating on it’s opponent.

This is slightly true. I still see a lot of people run around with assault rifles, but the people who quick scope with sniper rifles make me want to just through my control at the TV. I don’t encounter so many campers luckily, but when I do it pisses me off.

Hey guys, I found an extremley realistic war game!
It’s called airsoft! It doesn’t have killstreaks or vehicles, but there are plenty of maps, lots of guns (Even although some of them are quite overpriced) and by far the best graphics ever! Oh, AND even better… It has respawn points
