I still don’t get it why people thinks it the best game ever made…
I wouldn’t say the best because choosing a best game ever is subjective and pretty much boils down to personal preference. But it’s certainly unique and something everyone should try playing for a while before judging.
What can I say? In an age where the videogame market is saturated with gritty, repetitive, old, samey, “realism over fun”, “spectacle over substance” videogames whose only color palette is composed of brown and gray… Minecraft is a great reminder that games can still be fun, innovative and original.
And if the survival/mining/exploration stuff ever gets boring, you could just get into creative mode and be a God. Shaping a world as you see fit. Or do it with friends so you can blow each others’ creations up. Or download an adventure map. Whatever. One does not simply dislike Minecraft.

cause there is no set path to finish the game. its a truly open world, you can set up your own goals along with the achievements in the game, craft items, build logic based circuits and mechanisms, blast the bujeezus out of yourself or stone with explosives. to hell with what the graphics look like. minecraft is the “best game ever” because of what i just said above
