  5. vodka sandvitch says:

It’s funny because Ron Paul doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell.

    • Thunderflame says:

That’s what I was thinking. Obama wants you to vote Ron Paul in the primaries to better his chances of re-election.

    • Beavis says:

GO F*CK YOURSELF! RON PAUL IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE THAT ACTUALLY REPRESENTS THE PEOPLE!

    • Beavis says:

Both of you can go to hell, osama… I mean obama definitely doesn’t have a chance.

    • Brandizzle says:

Funny how you guys keep saying that as he gets more and more popular.
Smart people judge something months away right!?

    • ScuseMePrincess says:

He came in third in the Iowa primary, netting him the same number of delegates as Romney and Santorum. He’s also received the most campaign funds from individual donors, not corporations.

      • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

He’s also crazier than all the nominees this year.

        Including Bachmann.

        • Timmy P says:

That being said, and I’m not a Ron Paul supporter in any way, he at least strikes me as the straightest shooter of all the nominees.

        • Dr. Paul cure my Apathy! says:

another “crazy” statement with no other words lol

        • labby says:

Seriously? He’s the only one that makes any sense out of the candidates. AND he’s passionate about the changes he wants. While everyone else dances around the questions asked of them and simply tries to cater to public opinion, Paul actually has plans laid out to fix problems.
Also…crazier than Bachmann? LOL. That woman sprouts “facts” like a Wikipedia page.

          • Pinkythepie says:

Wikipedia is more accurate than Encyclopedia Britanica–I really don’t understand why everyone complains about it.

            • Actually, yeah, wiki is accurate for the same reason people complain about it. It’s peer edited, so people assume it’s wrong. What they don’t realize is it’s edited by THOUSANDS of scholars. So. More accurate really, than any book written by a handful or people. By…far.

And they cite their facts! What more could you ask for….i mean it’s free and the best.

I agree, but you forgot to include Democrats in your statement.

    • Failure says:

      Ron Paul isn’t a Republican.
      Need I say more?

      • ChrisDG74 says:

Technically he’s a Libertarian, but he IS running as a Republican this time.

        • mmmhmmm says:

Considering he wants to ban abortion among other things, he’s not much of a libertarian, even if he’s more libertarian than most of the other Republicans.

          • Bob the Slob says:

maybe he has considered the liberty of the baby…

          • Beavis says:

He still wants to downsize government heavily, eliminate gun control. and decriminalize marijuana. The only legitimate reason for abortion is cases of r a p e, and when birth would be threatening to the mother’s life. If you don’t want to get pregnant, condoms are a hell of a lot cheaper than a kid or an abortion.

            • Dr. Paul cure my Apathy! says:

I think most people are confused by this subject. If a girl is r a p e d, I doubt she can talk her attacker into putting on a condom. A lot of people have never heard of Plan B. It’s a contraceptive that will prevent the woman’s eggs from being fertilized, therefore no pregnancy. Plan B does not terminate any baby (or fetus, if you will), it prevents the baby by stopping the fertilization in the first place.

              • Furrama says:

It is a little questionable what stuff like Plan B does exactly and whether or not it is actually congestation, which is why it’s still being debated among those who love their contraception but dislike abortion in most cases.

          • Thisjustin says:

Your lack of info is beautifully stupid.

He is for individual liberty. Yes, he is pro-life, no, he doesn’t want to BAN abortion. He believes in choice.

            • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Then why does he want to overturn every pro-abortion law?

              Your logic makes no sense.

              • It makes a lot of sense. He doesn’t think the federal government should have any law on the books about it one way or the other. He believes it should be up to each individual state to decide for themselves. Have you even looked in to Ron Paul beside going to an Obama circle-jerk forum to read what they say?

              • Thisjustin says:

It seems you don’t want to know what Paul stands for and instead attack him.

He is absolutely against the federal government having anything to do with the lives of Americans and what they do. The federal government is strictly supposed to control corporations and foreign money exchanges, but has somehow today become the government that makes laws for the way we live. So, if the federal government creates ANY LAW that has anything to do with legalization/illegalization of what individuals can do, he is against it.

And is overturning pro-abortion law the same as BANNING abortion? Your logic makes no sense.

He wants smaller state governments to deal with individual liberties because they are much easier to control because the people have more choice in the matter when the volume of government is condensed. Why? Because the governors actually know many people from their state in comparison to the president of the USA, who can’t possibly know all 300 million people. The individuals in state governments who are corrupt can be dealt with much more easily than the large corrupt federal government we have now because they are closer to be people.

But what am I doing talking logical politics on memebase? Trying to “talk” to anonymous people on the internet who have no desire to listen to what others argue is pointless. We are not face to face having a discussion and neither of us face any consequences due to the conversation, which is why the internet is a troll haven.

So continue to attack the only, and I repeat ONLY candidate who is for your freedom to continue to disapprove of him openly without consequence. If you want war with the Middle East, more censorship laws, and a person with questionable ethics running our country AGAIN, go ahead and vote for any candidate other than Paul. I put emphasis on AGAIN because when it comes to choosing a good president and congress, the masses seem to do a poor job at such promptly due to the fact that the media tells them who to vote for even though they, at the same time, have a boss who is backing a certain candidate with his donations.

“He is absolutely against the federal government having anything to do with the lives of Americans and what they do.” Thats true. He just wants the STATE government to be able to run your life. Alabama wants to put black people on the back of the bus? Go for it! Florida wants to outlaw divorce? Have at it! South Dakota wants to make it a crime not to own a gun? That’s a no-brainer!

Srsly. Either take off the rose-colored glasses over this crackpot, or accept the fact that you’re as batsh*t crazy as he is.

                  • You think the government is a separate entity from the world? The government serves the people, they are elected by the people and can be dismantled by the people.

The federal government is hard to control and there are tons of backdoor dealings. If it were on the state level (like it said it should be in the Constitution), people could actually vote on the issues because its within their reach.

We vote for what we want in this country. Plain and simple. If some states citizens vote for something why shouldn’t they get it. We are free, are we not

Again. Government is run by the people. Not the other way around.

                  • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Precisely. He wants decentralized government, which has been proven to NOT work.

If you actually look at Ron Paul’s policies, REALLY look at them… you’ll see that this guy is everything that the Constitution was drafted to put a stop to.

And yes, overturning Roe vs Wade will allow anti-abortion laws to be passed. If you seriously believe otherwise, you’re missing the entire reason Roe vs Wade happened in the first place.

There WILL be more wars (just between states and themselves), there WILL be censorship, and Ron Paul DOES have questionable ethics (look at that newsletter he published 20 years ago with racist and homophobic content. Sure, he said he didn’t even read it now, but 10 years ago he said he did and that he endorsed it. Making him a liar and a hypocrite or a liar and a bigot, take your pick).

And more importantly, depowering the federal government means taking away federal business regulation. You think the economy is bad now, get ready for Rockafellerian monopolies and the dissolution of all unions. Hell, corporations will probably take over the state governments because they’ll be able to just buy their way into the governorship without federal corporate election donation laws.

Ron Paul supporters are a classic case of those who do not know there history trying their best to repeat it.

                    • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

                      their*

                    • Thisjustin says:

You really do not know what you are talking about. I can’t tell if you are confused due to education, or due to a lack of researching.

I can start anywhere in the Paul bashing, but I think I’ll start with your belief that everything to do with the federal government right now is all right.

“You think the economy is bad now, get ready for Rockafellerian monopolies and the dissolution of all unions.” Wait, you mean that the Rockefellers* don’t ALREADY control many economic conditions with monopolies? THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT AS IS, AND THEY CAN PAY ANY CONGRESSMAN TO VOTE FOR BILLS THAT GIVE THEM MORE POWER IN THE CORPORATE WORLD. You think that taking away the federal governments power to control PEOPLE will affect the corporate world in some horrible way? WHO is living life with rose-colored glasses? By God man, you actually think that they do not bribe and lobby for bills that give corporations the same rights as people? OUR ECONOMY IS IN A SAD STATE NOW BECAUSE OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS, AND HAS BEEN CORRUPT!

“If you actually look at Ron Paul’s policies, REALLY look at them… you’ll see that this guy is everything that the Constitution was drafted to put a stop to.” If I actually look at Ron Paul’s policies? You mean that the entire post that I made to defend the man I made by pulling pseudo-knowledge from my ass? I know full well what the man’s policies are and have studied them for YEARS. Remember when he ran in 2008? I was a democrat at the time and really wasn’t politically active nor very smart in my honest opinion. In that time, I decided to watch the Republican debates. The first debate I watched was the debate in which Ron Paul explained that the federal government and endless wars were not going to fix anything and indeed were the problem. I researched the man who was actually speaking out against all of the nonsense we endure and found myself agreeing with everything he said and then voted for the man when the time came. Of course I was disappointed when he lost and hoped Obama would do better, but we all know he hasn’t done well. As for your argument that says Paul is opposing the Constitution… I have no idea what could POSSIBLY make you think that. I see him as the only man DEFENDING THE DAMN DOCUMENT THAT PROTECTS YOUR INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS! I wish you would give examples of those policies that are against the Constitution.

Overturning Roe vs. wade will “allow” for antiabortion laws to be passes? Yeah, because I’m sure he just wants to leave that as a loose end when he believes in individual choice.

“There WILL be more wars (just between states and themselves), there WILL be censorship, and Ron Paul DOES have questionable ethics (look at that newsletter he published 20 years ago with racist and homophobic content. Sure, he said he didn’t even read it now, but 10 years ago he said he did and that he endorsed it. Making him a liar and a hypocrite or a liar and a bigot, take your pick).” Then you type this… Please explain to me why there will be more wars when the man is non-internationalist and is the only candidate that wants to bring our troops home instead of proceeding to attack Iran. PLEASE explain to me why there will be more censorship when he is the only candidate to speak out against SOPA and the NDAA. As for the newsletters, it seems you are just being spoon fed by the MSM when you try to attack for that. When he said that he endorsed the paper, there were no racist comments circulating in the ones that were circulating around the time. He couldn’t have read the racist comment that had yet to of existed at that time. However, he does take responsibility for the unfortunate newsletter and cited that he should have payed more attention to it at the time of its release. So he disavowed the paper and then had the decency to not give the name of the editor of put the racial statement into the paper. So no, the fiasco doesn’t make him a bigot, a hypocrite, or a liar.

I find it hard to imagine that the fact he is the only candidate against the war in the Middle East isn’t enough by itself to get him the presidency. The majority of Americans are tired of sending their children and peers to a foreign country with no clear focus. Not only is he the only candidate who is against the wars, but the only candidate with a budget plan that reduces the deficit. THE. ONLY. CANDIDATE. If you have problems finding his principles and stances on certain subjects not enough and would rather argue policies, something is wrong with you. Don’t get me wrong, policies are important and should be debated, but they shouldn’t be the only thing you look at when picking a president.

However, I fear your ignorance and possible stupidity are so immeasurable that you will never listen to the voice of reason. I don’t like insulting other human beings, but you just hit a nerve with your reply. Either post a sensical argument or just don’t post any reply at all.

                      • The HerpaDerpa Sherpa says:

I am infinitely puzzled by your logic here.

Ron Paul is against all Federal power. He’s a strong States-Rights advocate, as well as a strict constructionist regarding the Constitution. He believes that the Federal Government has no role in regulating the lives of individual citizens, but rather that duty belongs to the states. On this much we can agree.

However, that’s not the same as eliminating legislation or creating liberties, that’s just shifting power around. Transferring power from the Federal government to the State government isn’t going to grant us any more personal freedoms or civil liberties. That’s also not a clear stance on any individual issue – there’s a big difference between saying “The Federal Government shouldn’t enforce this law because X, Y and Z,” and “The Federal Government has no place in enforcing laws.”
I personally disagree with the whole antifederalist dogma, simply because I believe that the role of government is to actively protect and enforce the civil liberties and freedoms of it’s citizens, rather than the refusal to involve itself therein.

Furthermore, contrary to popular belief, he’s not planning on ending any wars. His official site reads: “America should be guarding her own borders and enforcing her own laws instead of policing the world and implementing UN mandates… [we should] Make securing our borders the top national security priority.” (http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/national-defense/) He plans to take those soldiers “home,” all right – and put them on the borders. To me, this sounds suspiciously like a domestic military police force.

Curiously, you have also failed to mention some of his more extreme views. Care to comment on his plan to abolish birthright citizenship? Or perhaps his aspirations to eliminate the Department of Health, Department of Education, and the FDA?

                    • Furrama says:

People will be a lot happier if the state or area they live in represents them as a group, no matter how backwards you might think a particular issue is. Dragging people kicking and screaming into “the future” tends to have the side effect of making them feel helpless… then angry. The central government should make sure the constitution is upheld as far as what was written down, but there are some issues that are up in the air, and individual states should decide what to do with them.

He did disown whatever was said in those newsletters after he found out what was in them exactly, and claims they were ghostwritten in large part. If true that does make him stupid for not checking up on it, but understandable.

                    • CaptainDredlokk says:

The idea is to limit central control. Otherwise, he wouldn’t run for an office position which his own regime would give himself no power. Limiting central power is very good; not completely deminishing it, but limiting it more. If you disagree with that, maybe you should move to a communist country?

Wow that was soooo fun. Seriously though I support Ron Paul. Why? Not cause everything is says is right. But because he’s the only candidate I’ve ever seen that appears genuine. When you see him on the tv you get the feeling that it’s the real him and not a show. I know what he campaigns about we’ll get in office.
Come on look at Obama and Romney! They both got the same huge perfect staged smile! In every photo of Obama smiling it’s the same practiced one over and over. They’re completely for show, who knows what they really believe. They’re fake.
As far as I’m concerned Ron Paul is the only REAL candidate.

          • Sumguy says:

It opens you up to being a terrorist and the ability to arrest you for an alleged or manufactured reason.

If someone is arrested and tried, or arrested and NOT tried, the only difference is we’re taking away their liberties. Not giving them a trial is only detrimental. They are in custody regardless. Shouldn’t there be a legitmate reason?

he also said he’d bring the troops back from the war. Interesting how that didn’t happen. Ron Paul is the ONLY one of the candidates who has stuck with what he believes in all the years.

  14. WittyScreenName says:

hate ron paul, but if its real thats really funny

  15. Brock says:

This is something I’d do. Ron Paul has a chance to beat Obama because many of us who wanted Obama in 08′ are voting for Ron Paul in 12′. Not just that, but he’s got the most loyal fanbase–people like me went from Chicago to Iowa to help him out. Plus, now that Ron Paul did great in Iowa, the media HAS to consider him a front-runner, and he will get more debate time and more people will see that he can beat Obama because he supports the constitution.

    • alan says:

The only reason I’d like Ron Paul to win is so that Ron Paul supporters will shut up after finally seeing how few promises Ron Paul can actually deliver.
Seriously, this is precisely why I hate the particular demographic you mentioned – the people who voted for Obama and now want to vote for Ron Paul.
You whine about Obama not making enough change and not fulfilling his promises, so you’ll vote for someone in the opposite side of the spectrum who makes even more unrealistic promises and bolder statements? What’s the logic there?

      • Brock says:

The logic is in his policies that WILL work. Particularly, his economic and libertarian policies. He predicted the economic collapse and he fully understands were the roots of our problems come from. He will never be able to repeal Roe v. Wade and I’m actually happy about that. He is going to kick SOPA out the doors of Congress, as well as the Defense Authorization Act, and last but not least the Patriot Act. He’s going to get flack, but because he’s been in politics for 30 years, he’s going to fight the special interests that try to buy Washington. Hey, at least I can have hope for the future instead of expecting the worst (you sir, are pessimistic).

        • Rageman says:

          And you are naive.

          • animality42 says:

Voting for someone who promises they will deliver good is a lot less naive than voting someone like Mitt or Newt who have been a lot less consistent(A complete change) and have manipulated the government for nothing but money. So yeah go ahead, don’t vote Ron Paul, but if you’re not going to vote Ron Paul, there’s no point in voting for another Bush and Obama

            • Thunderflame says:

Oh, don’t get me started on ‘consistency’. I’m going to hold back a little, and hope that no one sends me over the edge into a rant about consistency.

              • Brandizzle says:

                lol Look at Mr.Politicalmaster.
Seriously. If you don’t vote Ron Paul don’t vote at all.

                • Thunderflame says:

What? Are… was that supposed to have some semblance to a rational statement? Someone help me out here.

                  • g1i1ch says:

                    Basically:

-Newt, smart guy but is pretty much out now.

-Santorum never had or will have a chance. Seriously who wants a president where the first thing comes up in google is anal penetration? He also believe condoms are immoral. Just got this from wikipedia ->the right to privacy “doesn’t exist in my opinion in the United States Constitution”<- wikipedia, but wouldn't surprise me if true.

-Rick Perry… I'm Texan, we hate him. There's just no alternative here.

-Mitt, white Obama. Nothing will change at all.

-Ron Paul. Only person that actually wants to make a difference. And has actually tried to make a difference in the past.

Basically logic, you vote anyone else and it's pretty much in vain.

In my personal opinion. Small federal government is risky, but seriously anyone who thinks he can get the huuuuuge federal government to the small scale he wants is crazy. Most he can do is scale it back at least… which is probably exactly what is needed. Same for the isolationism, if anyone thinks he can make us an isolationist nation is crazy. At most, he'll stop us policing the world. Again at most a nudge in the right direction is the least we can expect. But really, the government is stuck, all we need is a nudge to get sh*t moving again. If it's wrong it's wrong, but at least it's moving. And if sh*t goes bad, next four years some other president will correct it.

And he’s a hypocrite and probably racist.

            • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

I can promise to deliver all that, and to give everyone five million dollars salary and rocket sled cars and no corruption of any sort ever.

Doesn’t mean I can actually do it.

        • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

There’s no logic in his policies.

Libertarianism is everything the Constitution is against.

          Decentralized government does not work.

If Ron Paul actually gets his agenda to work, we’ll be living under a corporate-owned fascist state.

          • Thisjustin says:

This post actually made me LAUGH HYSTERICALLY!

Libertarianism is everything the Constitution is against? Oh how I wish you would give me proof of such! Oh please, please, PLEASE give me a few examples of such. I actually feel no need to argue against this fact, because I can’t fathom a single truth in that statement!

P.S. We are already living under a corporate-owned fascist COUNTRY. If you have enough money you can pay off any congressman you please in today’s world. That is why corporations (which now have the same rights as you or me) are always at the forefront of corruption! You lack logic in everything you are stating.

            • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Proof? Okay. How about the Articles of Confederation, where states (and don’t forget, there were only 13 states at the time, all much smaller than the current ones population-wise) had more power than the federal government. It was THE libertarian ideal.

It worked SO well, that they scrapped this entirely in favor of the Constitution, which is meant for a STRONG and CENTRALIZED federal government which is supposed to have MORE power than the states.

              • Thisjustin says:

                THAT was your proof?

THAT was your example of the libertarian ideal FAILING?

I can’t take you seriously anymore and I really am tempted to just start calling you an idiot. Your view of the constitution being for STRONG and CENTRALIZED federal government makes me sick to my stomach, because you went and decided to prove yourself to be a moron.

You didn’t provide proof, you provided a document that didn’t represent the libertarian ideal as a document representing said ideal. The ideal in question being individual freedom above governmental control of individuals. The constitution, which by the way, favors the individual, is not libertarian? You mean that the Bill of Rights has nothing to do with individual rights and instead embodies the rights for a centralized federal government? ARE YOU CONFUSING LIBERAL AND LIBERTARIAN? I can’t tell, but my guess is you have no idea what you are talking about.

          • PlaidDuck says:

I believe Ron Paul mainly because he’s been saying the same things for a long time, and that he predicted things like the housing bubble, the sept. 11 terrorist attacks, and that obama would lie about pulling the troops. He also speaks about the war more passionately than obama, stating reasons for his opposition to the wars, unlike obama, who simply said, “When I get into office, the first thing i will do is pull the troops out of iraq”

        • Somedude593 says:

i agree butler it is very hard to find a cantidate who says the same thing for a prolonged period of time most just ride popularity waves and hope to get it right

        • J-S G says:

My high school teachers also predicted the housing bubble. Should we make them presidents?

        • armywife says:

I’m not endorsing Obama or anything, (I really only started to pay attention to politics about six months ago and still don’t know enough to make an educated opinion about anyone) but uh, yeah he did get the troops out of Iraq. I admit it took awhile, but the first thing he did was set a date. Then he started taking the combat troops out first leaving only paper pushers and mechanics. For the past, like two years it’s been, as I have heard from a number of troops “Boring” in Iraq.

      • Chester says:

Seconded. About the only thing I hate more than Ron Paul is Ron Paul’s rabid fans. The little douchebags troll everything they touch with the eye-burning “RON PAUL 2012″.

I’m not 100% on this, but the only candidate I think I would vote for at the moment is Santorum.

  16. Could it be? says:

Did Obama convert a Ron Paul supporter there?

  17. PorkFork says:

If only Herman Cain wasn’t destroyed by the media.

    • Just me says:

I know! I was so unbelievably ticked off at the media for their constant harassing of him. Even if he did do all of that stuff, we’re all HUMAN. We ALL make mistakes. But he was my first choice in the candidates :(

    • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Herman Cain had no concept of foreign policy, no political experience at all, and his tax plan would have raised taxes across the board, especially those who can barely afford what they are paying now.

What did you like about him exactly?

      • animality42 says:

The fact that 999 sounds good and he was black probably, I mean all Romney supporters can say about their candidate is that he looks good and is “electable”

        • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

          999 sounded good?

Adding 9 percent sales tax ON TOP of what your state and city taxes you sounds good?

          • Thisjustin says:

I actually agree with you on SOMETHING.

Herman Cain’s 999 plan was absolutely stupid. The fact that he even made it into the debates blew my mind and caused me to lose all faith in the media as well as our political system.

            • the whole 9 9 9 thing is just an attempt at simplifying our problems with taxing the rich/vs the poor/ blah blah we gotta stop the middle class taxes and what not
really, this idea says all people should pay the same percentage to their government
Its actually a nice and fair idea
but i like the idea of not taxing us out the ass to support wars that will end in nuclear fallout in big cities a little better

              don’t ask me why….

  18. Beavis says:

What I want to know is WHO THE HELL VOTED FOR FROTHY MIXTURE(AKA Rick Santorum)?!

  19. Justice says:

This is how Ron Paul and his fans debate.

“What would Ron Paul do about the Iranians trying to blockade the Strait of Hormuz?”

“Well, I / Ron Paul believe/s we should have never deposed the Shah of Iran, and maybe we wouldn’t have this crisis today!”

“What about American dependence on foreign oil?”

“Maybe if we didn’t set up barracks in Lebanon, fully sanctioned by their governments, then Hezbollah would never have attacked us! Then we would have cheap oil.”

“What do you think about Iran enriching uranium far beyond the percentages you’d need to for a nuclear reactor by their own admission?”

“Why are we flying reconnaissance missions over Iran? We found out about the Cuban Missile Crisis without any type of intelligence or reconnaissance gathering whatsoever!”

  20. yugo says:

Ron Paul is against the patriot act, sopa, ndaa,….

    • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

And the Civil Rights act of 1964…

      • Thisjustin says:

And I doubt the guy above me will state why he is against the Civil Rights act of 1964…

I’m sure he’ll just use it to infer that Paul is racist instead of telling everyone the fact that Paul is opposed to it because it actually caused more segregation instead of less. Forcibly putting people who do not like each other together under the guise of fairness didn’t really garner love for what people perceive as two separate races. Instead, it LABELED people as black and white instead of just enforcing the fact that we are all protected by the constitution and do not need an act telling us this fact. It doesn’t say “all people are equally regardless of their skin color”, it says “people with skin color other than white can do things too”. He questions why we need an act that tells us that skin colors other than white can do things. Signifying the fact that skin colors are a factor is part of what the bill did. It outlawed segregation instead of outlawing discrimination of all sorts.

        • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

How about “Ron Paul actually said he voted against it”?

          • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Also, outlawing discrimination WAS the point, get over yourself.

            • Thisjustin says:

Not only was discrimination NOT the point, but I have no idea in why that relates to an infatuation of myself.

Segregation and discrimination are two different things.

        • The HerpaDerpa Sherpa says:

So. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 caused more segregation instead of less.

          Now I’ve heard everything.

      • CaptainDredlokk says:

Anyone with at least 1/4 a brain should be. That’s not something to campaign on.

      • Thisjustin says:

It’s something to campaign on if every other candidate supports said bills.

I’m actually serious, the other candidates actually support SOPA and supported the NDAA of 2012.

        • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

You do realize the NDAA’s executive clause is already something the President has right?

          • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

had rather. Point is, even if it was vetoed, he’d still have the powers.

            • Thisjustin says:

Yes of course, but is supporting the reinstatement of not only those executive powers, but also the power to arrest Americans on our own soil fine?

That signing statement Obama added at the end unfortunately has no legal power, so everything in the bill is still allowed with or without Obama’s “approval”.

              • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

                Reaffirmation =/= reinstatement.

Redundantly legislating power to break the legal system (when it was in no danger of being taken away, mind you) is better than leaving our military without funding.

It’s not like it’s the first time the legal laws were bent, anyway. Lincoln did it too, though granted it was also removed when it was no longer necessary.

In any case, the Supreme Court can still overrule it..

  21. yugo says:

and the wars, the bailouts, the fed, the federal drug war ….

    • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

And reproductive rights… and public education… and the FDA….

      • Thisjustin says:

        Reproductive rights? Public education?

You enjoy equating things don’t you?

I already explained far up why he isn’t actually against reproductive rights, but then you infer that the Department of Education is the same as public education?

The Department of Education is a HUGE failure on all fronts. Ever since the federal government has issue our education, we have fallen in intelligence in comparison to the rest of the world. AGAIN, HE IS AGAINST ALL FEDERAL INTERFERENCE REGARDING INDIVIDUALS. The federal government should have no base in our education and the results of them having a base in our education have become apparent. Their system of education sucks and should be eliminated entirely.

Remember the industrial revolution? Did public schooling exist then? YES. Did the DoE exist then? NO. Yet somehow America had the most intellectuals and greatest wealth in the entire world. Supporting home schoolers isn’t the same as being against public education either by the way.

Public education =/= Department of Education.

As for the FDA, you ACTUALLY got something right! He IS against the FDA which repeatedly fails to do its job in protecting the American people from dangerous substances! How many drugs on the market today are recalled regularly even after being OKed by the FDA? How often are they actually effective in controlling companies when accepting money to pass certain drugs through without extensive research? They aren’t effective and should be replaced with smaller food and drug researchers who are active in each state.

        • Beavis says:

Serously mate, don’t feed this obvious troll. He’s clearly talking out of his arse.

        • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Yes, because 50 smaller, easily corruptible FDAs with ~2% of the funding of the current FDA will do so much better than the current one.

          • Thisjustin says:

I wish you weren’t living under the delusion that bigger=harder to corrupt.

With the current FDA, I do believe a 24 year old with a college degree and a basic idea about health could do better in controlling the food and drugs that go into the hands of fellow Americans.

            • “Yes, because 50 smaller, easily corruptible FDAs with ~2% of the funding of the current FDA will do so much better than the current one.”

              We wouldn’t have 50 smaller FDA’s
We’d have something closer to “drug testing and accuracy administration” or something to that effect
              And it wouldn’t be 50
              it’d be more like 100-200
Why? Because when a business turns into a bureaucracy, it loses its credibility. Why?
              Human error
When you get a job at a bureaucracy, (say the post office) it’s pretty easy to sit back comfortably over the years and be treated well due to seniority rather than actual production. As long as you do enough to get by you’ll keep your job, you’ll keep your pay, and you’re on the way to the next benchmark of a raise based on time spent with the company (if you want to call it that)
When you’re in a competitive business you PRODUCE or they find somebody else that’s more worth the money they spend on you. You better have a reason to be there (yea, this is theory, of course a hot chick can get to the top of some corrupt places for reasons…not needing to be named) but !!! don’t throw out the baby with the washwater! This systems just plain WORKS BETTER at producing in general! When you HAVE to compete, you HAVE to try to do better than SOMEONE in order to get that paycheck
THAT is what makes capitalism GREAT that motivation to beat somebody else by doing what their doing better or cheaper or faster than them.
Now wouldn’t you want that competitive advantage on your side when dealing with things like the drugs you take, the food you eat, and the teachers who teach your kids?
Don’t you want them to have to work hard?

Shoot, if i’m paying them hell yeah
The other guys get my tax dollars regardless.
Like roaches, they become very hard to kill once they’ve infested our capitalistic system and received federal backing, and like roaches, they lower the value of the real estate that is our country.

It’s almost like you refuse to just accept the truth

If you want to argue about ron paul, here’s an idea
Complain about his views on pulling troops out of south korea
there’s an exception i believe shouldn’t be overlooked
He want to all or nothing get our troops out of their, but without much help, i don’t see much stopping the invasion of the south by the north’s new dictator.
I wish i could talk to him personally about this, because a lot of really great starcraft players and americans are over there, and i’d hate to see that place ransacked…but the best thing to do would be to ask the south koreans how scared they are of an event like this happening.
It scares me, that kim jong un guy looks like a pedo

ADULT stem cell research is what is helping people, not embryonic stem cell research.

I’m not at all for abortions, but I support the individual’s right to choose one way or another. The only flaw to my ideals is that it hinges on education of said people, and with our current system education isn’t so good.

^thank you for taking the time to defend paul, you are the kind of person that gives me hope in americans and “ron paul will destroy america” you realize the constitution (which paul is against?) doesnt allow for federal interference with education, it is a power left to the states which the department of education defies by simply exsisting

        • Thisjustin says:

I thank you for praising me and I’m glad to see another like-minded person who is just fed up with the corrupt system America is under right now. I wish I could say “as of now”, but with a troll like Ron Paul Will Destroy America posting nonsense, it might remain the same way for a long time.

        • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Ron Paul is against the Constitution.

He wants to get rid of income tax and reverse decisions of the Supreme Court, the powers of which come directly from the Constitution’s original draft.

Income tax in fact is one of the reasons the Constitution was drafted in the first place. In the Articles all the federal govt could do was ask nicely for taxes; nobody had to pay.

Executive order to overturn Roe v Wade, which is in the Paul agenda, is EXTREMELY unconstitutional.

Oh, and for those who say he never flip-flops: DADT. He was for it, and later against it.

The Constitution affords power to the states ONLY when it does not directly interfere with federal powers. Nine and Ten were added so that states could make their own laws where no federal law exists because federal laws take time to process. It is NOT meant to give states a trump card over the federal government, and state laws do NOT take precedence over federal law.

          • Thisjustin says:

You dare say that the income tax is why the Constitution was drafted? You either have a mental illness, or are the biggest troll I’ve ever had the displeasure of arguing with.

The Constitution allows for the congress collect taxes yes, but not based on income.

The sixteenth amendment is what was “passed” to allow for an income tax. If you study its history, you will find that it was never fully ratified unfortunately. Saying that the Constitution was created just so the income tax to exist is ludicrous.

In fact, I would argue that the income tax is unconstitutional when looking at the fifth amendment’s self-incrimination clause. This states that you have the right to plead not guilty and don’t have to report everything you do to others. Think of it as a right to privacy. Having to accept a tax on your income is against this right to privacy because you must report what you make.

            • Ron Paul Will Destroy America says:

Well allowing the country to collect taxes are part of the reason why, not certainly not the sole purpose.

As far as income tax being against the fifth… eh. I can see where you’re coming from, but that’s a really sketchy argument. After all, they are already assuming the tax you report is legitimate.

Don’t forget, tax evasion is how they got Al Capone, and he had some of the best legal protection of the era.

      • Redbird530 says:

I’m sad to see that you demonstrate another moronic quality: generalization of entire groups. I could easily say, “EVERY MITT ROMNEY SUPPORTER IS A RACIST MORMON!” anywhere on the internet. Am I correct? Obviously not, but you don’t seem to have a problem doing the same.
