    Never seen this meme before…

    • The Master says:

      Almost seems… forced?

      • GriffCannon90 says:

how do you think all memes start out?

        • CaptainForever says:

Hello, you must be new to the internet. Let me show you some old memes and tell you they became memes because they were funny.

          • datlink says:

Yeah you mean the ones that are old and tired that everyone here keeps saying “REPOST” or “That’s so Unoriginal” or “Why not make some new content”. Memes are only forced if someone hates them, which is why Milhouse is always a forced meme NO one likes him, and if someone does they are not real.

why isnt he showing the old memes

            ^this

        • kragmoor says:

i’ll give you a hint this one started on reddit, yesterday

      • vodka sandvitch says:

I don’t like this meme = must be forced

      • Unity says:

It seems forced because it is. Conservative dips**ts make these kinds of memes in the hopes of influencing public opinion, and their humor is usually lacking.

        • Terry says:

Dude, I’m liberal and I think they’re f*cking hilarious. No sense being liberal OR conservative if you can’t laugh at yourself once in a while.

Go look up “College Republican” if it makes you feel better.

        • Homicidal Panda says:

ooooooor you just don’t like memes about you

          goddamn hippies…

        • Chris says:

Dude I’m a liberal, but these are pretty humorous.

        • anon says:

You’ve uncovered the secret conservative plot to slowly conquer the world using memebase. Grats bro.

        • jvome says:

wow someone is being a conspiracy keanu here, i guess rick perry somehow has something to do with these too huh?

        • mullet says:

          > sees self in meme
          > OH GOD CONSERVATIVE CONSPIRACY

        • Tiglath-Pilezer says:

C’mon, there’s millions of memes and this is the only one I have seen on a meme site that shows a conservative standpoint. There are much higher numbers of liberals than conservatives (considering we have a liberal president and all), so who is really trying to influence public opinion? Also, why should both sides not be represented? Is that not the American way?

          • LDubbz says:

^ This. As a right leaning moderate it’s nice to see stuff from the other side occasionally. I would probably be more centered if liberals weren’t so rude to anyone remotely conservative or Christian…

          • ijustcamefromlunch says:

Why should this be viewed as a conservative post? Because it features a hippie with some text making fun of these people who so inconsiderately express their hypocrite and futile opinion, it is suddenly a republican meme? United-Statesmen really need to know that the world is more than Democrat/Republican politics. Why can’t we all appreciate it as the ice cream it is?

        • Tomdude88 says:

Seems like your one of those hippies who want your opinions to be heard but wont listen to others opinions. Your a close minded fool.

        • Tomdude88 says:

Stop being so uptight. I’m sure you would laugh at memes making fun of conservatives….you libs, do as i say, not as i do…….

        • EvilDave says:

Quit whining, you hypocrite. The only reason you dislike this meme is because it reflects what YOU do.

The sad part is that they are TRUE. You are your ilk can’t see your own hypocrisy.

        • Whiteoverblue says:

The last time I saw a conservative in memebase, the internet didn’t exist yet.

      • A flying shark with laser eyes (from Australia) says:

I don’t get you people… you say about every meme it is forced, so the word ‘forced’ loses it’s meaning.

      • APCHEM says:

i somewhat agree some of them are funny but in order for this to work people have to be informed about what they include as the hippie hypocrisy. For instance Che Guevara was not a war criminal he was a revolutionary that helped organize several revolutions in latin american countries including Bolivia and Cuba he was only hunted down and killed because he was the leader of the opposition, which is what any government would do when they have an insurgency in their country

      • KEh says:

        not forced……realistic

      • KEh says:

        not forced………realistic!

    • Mr. Wayne says:

It’s not a meme, It’s a series of image macros.

    • jake says:

      RAS TRENT!!!!!

    • Hughahugha says:

yeah yeah yeah mz mz mz I AM SO COOL I AM SO COOL yeah yeah yeah

  2. KlapMongeaul says:

Is it me or does the bad argument hippie looks like Daniel Radcliffe

  3. hans-franz says:

    meeeeeehhhhhhh.

  4. Darkage says:

    Stupid hippie woman…

  5. ryan says:

Not sure if guy or girl

  6. SirSnowball says:

Way to steal from reddit, this was originally college liberal.

  7. Spb60 says:

    Finally…….thank you!

  8. Bassthoven says:

I suppose there would be one about how conservatives are way more retarded but that would be too easy.

    • Homicidal Panda says:

awww someone is mad there’s a meme about them

    • Llort says:

      Make it.

      • words says:

With all of the anti-conservative humor on the internet one would have expected people to enjoy a decent change of pace, but apparently some people forget one of the key rules to humor: the ability to laugh at oneself.

These are above average, and I’ve heard real people make these arguments.

    • Alaina says:

Your liberal politics are what mainly destroyed the US. Now off with you!

      • lego2112 says:

        conserva-five!

      • Vixon says:

Yeah! Let’s get the christian talibans back into the white house!

If there’s one republican I’d vote for (if i lived in the US), it’d be ron paul. The rest of them base their policies on thousands year old shepherds tales.

        • Katy says:

Wtf why do democrats always say they want to vote for Ron Paul?! Dear lord the man wants to take back all of the changes we made during the civil rights movement and give the right to deny people of other races from your establishment. Wtf would you want that in our whitehouse for?

          • Dan says:

You can’t possibly believe that Ron Paul, as a president of a republic, will roll back civil rights to Jim Crowe days? Obama couldn’t even get 0.01% of the MINOR things he wanted to pass, and he had the full support of the liberal media and both houses of congress. Imagine if Ron Paul tried to pass some kind of sharecropping law with BOTH sides hating him the whole way, along with the media. Beyond laughable. I dont even think Jon Stewart fans are that stupid.

            • Katy says:

I know it’d never be passed, I’m saying on multiple occasions he’s said it should be. And I don’t want someone who thinks like that to be my president.

              • Ron Paul for President says:

You are obviously ill-informed of Ron Paul. Next time you want to talk about a great man that did a lot for me or my family (which are of African American descent) you should check your facts. You are an ignorant piece of trash.

          • batman says:

Ron Paul is against racial quotas and affirmative action, that’s what he opposed about the Civil Rights Act.

Oh, and P.S., you do have the right to deny anyone your service or from your establishment, for any reason. If you own a restaurant, that’s your private property, you don’t have to have black people in it if you don’t want to. That doesn’t change the fact that you’d be a racist prick for doing so, but still. Rights are rights.

          • Brian says:

The vast majority of society has progressed to the point that we no longer need legislation to suppress racism. Go open up a Pizzaria with a sign in the front window that says “Colored people not allowed” and see how long it takes for you to go out of business.

            • Llort says:

Racism is alive and well. It is just better-hidden today than it was in the past.

But you’d need to be a minority, or know one very well, to have any clue.

              • Don't Tread On Me! says:

Because racism is so underground? Hipster minority?

                • Llort says:

Pretty much. You don’t see signs stating “Coloreds Only” now do you?

Being racist is no longer socially acceptable.

              • I’m black and I live in the South…hardly any problems…why do I have to worry about racism if it’s hidden? the only way I can experience it is if someone whips it out at me….other than that I can review business histories for discrimination….I haven;t found it yet….sooo

                • Llort says:

You are probably oblivious to it. I also live in the South, and I can see it. I also hear about it from many different minorities (black, latino, asian, etc.).

You have to worry about it if it is hidden because it reduces opportunities, or have you not noticed the many businesses that are 90%+ white, even in towns that are majority minority?

Perhaps you have not spoken with people who are latino who were born here, but are asked for their green card if they are pulled over, even though they don’t speak a lick of Spanish and are without accent. Don’t tell me that I need to explain that one to you.

yeah it’s about screaming at a brick wall. how much change have you elicited with your movement? none? oh yeah right because you are ineffectual d-bags. why don’t you occupy washington and maybe try and solve the actual problem, being washington?

        • TopographicOcean says:

Same deal in Australia. Not many people in the movement here knew what they were actually there for. There was even a group that seemed to have just joined the rally due to being out all night and had not gone home after getting a late night kebab O.o

The movement means very little outside of the US. Now anyway. Give it a few years and it’ll be more of an issue outside the States most likely.

Not a Fox News fan either, but the movement in Australia must have been organised by a turnip considering how pathetic it turned out.

It’s more important that it works in the US anyway.

    • Mr Blah says:

I don’t consider Che to be a war criminal(more of a liberator, or at least a militant), but he DID approve summary executions, which is kind of a war crime, even though they were justified. I’m not pulling these facts out of my @$$, by the way. You can look up his personal journal, or pretty much any biography of him.

      • WISDOM says:

Who decides how and why a hastily approved summary execution is justified? How does that work exactly? Is it in relation to the number of t-shirts sold posthumously?

        • cc says:

Yep. Hitler would have been a hero if he had sold more T-shirts. Just bad PR planning on his part, I guess.

        • Francis says:

I think its justified(in this case), cos they were insurgents and didn’t really have the means to put someone to trial. They just had to go with it. Oh and the US does have the means, but theyve just decided to forget about the whole trial thing.

Guevarra not a war criminal? He once shot a 14 year old boy in the back of the neck because the 14yo defended his father. Oh, and Guevarra was happy he almost literally blew the kid’s head off.

Guevarra was not a liberator. He was not a freedom fighter. He was a sociopathic mass murderer.

Never in cold blood. Che guevara fought himself to death on armed battles, against other soldiers (mostly paid by the US) in order to free his country from the imperialist bastards your country is full of.

On the other hand, bush created a really laughable excuse to invade a country and kill thousands of civilians, women and children. He doesnt even deny having detained people without a trial and tortured them on isolated prisons.

He left his position to keep fighting for his ideals alla around the world: Panama, Dominican Republic, Congo and finally in Bolivia, where the US sent CIA agents to lead the hunt and special forces to train the bolivian army. You are just saying that out of ignorance. You dont know what communism is.
Russia never achieved communism, China never achieved communism, Cuba never achieved communism. There has never existed something such as pure communism.

It is also not a dead ideology, marx’s and adam smith clasic economy thoughts are more
            valid now than ever.

            • noname says:

Because “achieving communism” as Che envisioned it would involve turning people into ants (metaphorically speaking)

            • LOLCATS says:

Let me give you a hint. It never gonna reach your vision of communism. None of the country you listed succeeded. However, It was still an attempt. And those attempts failed each and every time. And now, why bring Adam in this, he was a capitalist, just saying…

Marxism hasn’t, doesn’t and will not work. We are not bees. At best, it’s a theory. How many must die so that you finally understand that communism is a fantasy? Over 100 Million dead and still counting. By those standards, Hitler was an angel(figuratively of course). Capitalism is not perfect, and nobody pretend it is, that I know of at the very least. Though based on the last century, it outclass communism when it comes to the People’s benefices. Want some proofs?
Well, there are the bodies. If that doesn’t please you, go on Google and look how prosper North Korea is compared to South Korea. The lack of a substantial light source during night should give you a good idea of the great contribution communism have bestowed upon this country. The famine in the former USSR is another. Let’s not even mention the abuses.

Tell me when the “true communism” will come, so that I dig a hole deep enough to shield myself from your nonsense.

              • emo says:

Adam smith is the greatest exponent of classic economy. Marxism is a branch of classic economy. If you study these ideas youll find out that adam smith’s classic economy is much more similar to marxism than to neoliberalism.
Adam Smith named himself a capitalist because in his opinion rentiers (the people who own the land or other scarce resources) didnt let economy develop as it would do if those people didnt exist. In fact Keynes says rentiers are the “parasites” of economy. Rentiers of today are the people who work on stock markets.
Neoclassical economy and financial markets would make Adam smith roll on his grave.

I hate psuedo-communism (URSS, North Korea, etc) regimes as much as i hate USA’s campaign of terror. Why would you think i would condone genocide?
True communism is what everyone aspires to. You are not aware of that because you dont know what communism is.

    • Chris says:

As a liberal atheist, I completely agree. I can totally laugh at myself (and the more extreme lefties) and I find this meme pretty funny.

Not really, you just acknowledged the fact you’ve made a bizarre generalisation. That doesn’t somehow make it correct.

I’m not entirely sure what to say other than that this is simply unrelated to atheism. Perhaps you have a bizarre stereotype of either hippies or atheists (and that would be that they all belong to the other group), but that’s your own weird idea.

        • Grolsh says:

yeah, but 1 and 4 children are starving because their families are too poor to feed them.

Because said parents can’t find a job, nor are they being paid enough to keep amenities AND food AND taxes.

          Derp.

          • Kirajenlove says:

Don’t be ridiculous. There are a zillion places in America where families can get free food every day. This is not Africa! If their kids are “starving”, it’s because the parents are not very resourceful or they’re too “proud” to accept charity, which makes it THEIR fault, not America’s fault.

            • Chris says:

“There are a zillion places in America where families can get free food every day.”

Wat. Seriously, wat. I’m tempted to ask you to name those zillian places, but it’s not a real unit of measurement. So I’ll settle for a mere trillion, or hell let’s make it easy. Name a million. Or ten thousand.

              • Katy says:

I work in one. There is a food pantry in every single small town in the small county I live in. The people can come in and get as much food as they want plus toiletries and any other extras they’d like. They go through the isles with their carts and take whatever they want just like a supermarket, but they simply leave afterwards because all of the food is free. So. Seriously, stfu. Maybe if you tried volunteering at these places instead of preaching about them you’d know that they exist.

            • Calamity says:

I love conservatives. They believe starving people don’t exist because of food stamps. Instead of food stamps existing because of starving people.

              • Stephen says:

Let’s get this straight: Your argument is that the problem persists BECAUSE there’s a solution for it, since that’s the reason the solution exists?

in your second sentance your saying that the solution isnt supposed to solve the problem. that makes me and all other logical members of society cry very, very much.

                • Jon says:

Well, maybe if your head wasn’t up your ass that wouldn’t have happened. “They believe starving people don’t exist because of food stamps.” How is this so hard to comprehend. There is this weird conservative theory that if public assistance didn’t exist, there wouldn’t be poor people anymore because everyone would go out and “get a job.” Both sides are f*cking retarded and should be collectively fitted for quik-rete shoes and be thrown off the nearest pier.

        • Jacob Wright says:

remember, that picture that shows the usa state map, color codes the states with the majority of college grads… the states with the majority of college grads voted democratic and the states with the very little amount of grads were republican lol.

      • Ryan Waxx says:

You think that’s funny, wait till you get to the graph of people who didn’t graduate.

You’ll never guess how they vote…

        • Nameloc says:

Wait till you see which people actually have jobs… I know how they vote.

          • Ryan Waxx says:

Depends on whether you mean government jobs or real ones.

          • Alaina says:

Yeah, most college grads vote democratic because most colleges are extremely liberal. Most of these college grads you speak of were brainwashed to think the same way as these liberal professors. All of the buisiness owners and doctors I know are conservative. This is because the economy problems are caused by liberals. This has the most effect on their buisiness. THAT’S why the people you refer to vote democratic. It doesn’t mean that democrats are any smarter than republicans. I can also tell you that I know many homeless people (some even high school drop-outs) that vote democratic. They vote this way because they want more health care benefits and such. As an end result, taking more tax payers money, which we can’t afford right now. Plus, I won’t even get into the racial reasons for people voting for our latest president…

            • TheEmptyOne says:

              Racism has been mentioned.

              ABANDON THREAD

              • Um Really? says:

So you’re going to say that the fact that a record number of racial minorities showed up to the polls, many of which at my poll (which, incidentally had never had a line before and has never had a line since) was so crowded that a fight broke out between two men wearing”Yes, We Can!” shirts because a door wouldn’t close had nothing to do with racial motivations? I’m not saying that every person who voted for Obama did so for racial reasons, but it is pretty much fact that people who normally never even consider voting came out to vote for Obama, and many were willing to discuss how he was a brotha’. And that’s fine, people should be able to vote for whoever they want, for whatever reason they want, but trying to say that race played no factor in the election is proving your ignorance.

            • Benny says:

I disagree. I was very liberal until I went to college. Once I got into college and started taking poli-psy classes, history classes, civics classes, etc. I became very conservative. Now that I’m out in the real world and see how “theory” works in practice I’m back to liberal.
Same with a lot of my friends I made in college.

        • whatisthisgarbage says:

That’s just because they did not get to be exposed to the liberal garbage that colleges and universities spew…I’m in college and i’m still a conservative… I’m not worried about finding a job when I get out because I’m studying something useful, not some art history bull crap. You want a job? Study science, math or something in the medical field.

      • Rabbit says:

And most of those “scumbag brainwashed dogs of the state” (that /is/ what you call soldiers, isn’t it?) that are dying for you are… wait for it… Conservative Republicans.

It’s a shame, isn’t it. A lot of Conservatives won’t graduate, because they died fighting for you.

        Nice gratitude.

    • MagicActor says:

This doesn’t even “attack” liberals. It attacks the “hypocritical hippie nutcase.” Big difference. While I’m not a “full liberal,” I’m liberal-leaning on many points, and I HATE people like this. They are the people who get the bad press and can’t think to save their like, lives, man. But the difference between the conservatives and the liberals is that the liberals don’t try to get their nutcases into positions of power.

      • Maulkin says:

…What? The liberals don’t try to get their nutcases in power???

Nancy Pelosi “we have to pass the bill to know what’s in it”, Harry Reid “Rich people have never created jobs”, John Kerry “”You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”, Al Gore “”During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”, and don’t even get me started on Biden…

Che Guevara personally killed people. Bush started a war because America was bombed. People seem to look past that. I agree that the war has gone on far to long, almost 9 years, but it’s just so people like you can live your good lives. If America pu**ied out on every war where would we be? We would be ruled by china or some other country and we would be screwed. War is for freedom, and our country was founded on both.

It’s funny because I don’t remember “The People” discovered electricity, formulated the law of motion, cured the black plague, nor built a machine heavier than air and yet that can fly. It is the work of individual. It is individual who brought peace, medicine, machines and even the dull theory Che Guevara has choose to follow. Not “The People”.

    • moup94 says:

Furthermore, I fail to see how this is anything other than another “kind of person meme” (a la Scumbag Steve). It isn’t a matter of “liberal,” as I daresay most liberals aren’t like this. There are some, yes, but there are the nutcases in every party. At least the liberals don’t try to get their nutcases into office, though.

      • Thukad says:

I agree. Saying all liberals are like this is like saying all conservatives are nut jobs too. While there are certainly people on both sides who are KU-RAZY, you can’t just generalize an entire group without coming off as an idiot and someone who’s opinion we can ignore..

And what the hell? Liberals totally try to get nutjobs in office. It happens eveywhere with every party. It’s bound to happen. Do most get in? Nope, but it does happen. Seems to be an ignorant statement friend. I invite you to actually think it over, instead of getting upset I called it out.

QUICK GET THE PRESSES! I’m more agnostic center-left, but I still actually find both sides of extremities ridiculous. And by extremities I mean conservatives who are like the Tea Party, and liberals like the hippie up there.

      Come at me extremes!

      • Maulkin says:

Ummm… Exactly how is the tea party extreme? They want to eliminate excessive taxes, eliminate national debt, and balance the budget (those are the biggies, and the rest can be found here: http://www.teaparty-platform.com/ )… Not exactly extreme, wanting to have an economically solvent federal government. Shoot, it’s just plain common sense…

As opposed to the Occupy Movement, which (and this is just one example) wishes to increase corporate income taxes, which are already ridiculously high and will drive even more businesses out of the US and into other countries…

        • Calamity says:

Ummm… Exactly how is OWS extreme? Shoot, it’s just plain common sense…

As opposed to the Tea Party movement, which (and this is just one example) wishes to decrease corporate income taxes, which are already ridiculously low and will drive taxes on the middle class up.

          • LOLCATS says:

No, what will drive the tax on the middle class is: the incompetent at the Oval office. (Next time, elect a real leader)… Not exactly extreme, wanting to have an economically solvent federal government. Shoot, it’s just plain common sense…

As opposed to encourage parasitism and destroying U.S. achievement and prosperity. Such as cancelling the NASA’s space shuttle program followed by the Constellation program. In addition to, cutting half a trillion in the military budget to reinvest it in welfare. Finally, has increased the federal debt by $4.212 trillion. More than all president combined. Guess how many poor people you just created, which in turn increase government spending on welfare, send the elites elsewhere and increase taxes. Never ending cycle….

  60. Aj says:

What if this meme was made by banks and corporations to make protest look dumb?

  61. Denis says:

Hmmm the meme is bad because it’s full of straw men fallacies. Thinking that all liberals are hippy and all hippies have bad arguments (like those presented).

Also, I am not a liberal, I am a social democrat, so I can not be a “butt-hurt liberal”.

    • Rabbit says:

It’s full of strawman fallacies, so it’s bad?

But everyone seems to be just fine with the memes about Catholics being hypocritical pedophiles, the memes about White people being racist hicks, and, the memes about Republicans being hateful monkeys.

The point is, people are idiots, and strawman fallacies make them feel better.

That is what makes him , in my opinion, heroic. Still, since he ordered summary executions, however justified they are, it still makes him a war criminal.

    • Homicidal Panda says:

You sir, are a dumbass. If we wanted the oil we would’ve actually taken it. Not to mention we would have stopped trying not to kill Iraqis. It would’ve been a hell of a lot easier to wage a war of genocide than try to make friends.

And while I’m at it, so what if we were to invade for oil, we need it, they have it, they can’t stop us from taking it. F*ck em.

  65. I approve of this meme, forced or not.

  69. a guy says:

I am most definitely a liberal and find hippie/hipster jokes hilarious. But these ones aren’t funny. They’re really poorly done. And the “diversity of opinion” one and the religious one aren’t even true (since real hippies would never attack ones religious beliefs and, from my experiences, love to hear others opinions so long as the person relaying them is doing so in a respectful manner). The acid one and the war criminal one are good though. The college one might be better if it didn’t seem as though the person who wrote it dropped out of high school.

    • Homicidal Panda says:

You sir are one of a minority then. The vast majority of liberals I have met love to here other opinions only when they are very close to their own and anyone that believes otherwise is ignorant or uneducated.

You should know that there’s a difference between dogma and discipline. Dogma is considered absolute truth and unchangeable, disciplines are only practices installed for the preservation or propagation of the dogmas in different times and cultures. Not to mention the concepts of doctrinal development/progressive revelation, which result in the Old Covenant being replaced by the New, the disciplines of the Law of Moses being wiped out, and new “laws” being placed within the authority of the Church to create, change, and abolish – they don’t call it Canon Law for nothing.

but the arguement can be stated that the Fetus hasn’t done anything wrong, meanwhile the people on death row however are often the type that are unfit for even prison society…

      • Calamity says:

        I accept your argument.

It’s just that most people who are Pro-Life make the argument that life is sacred.

        • Llort says:

The argument is really that *innocent* life is sacred, whether they realize it or not. They’re not prone to understanding their viewpoints all that well.

One needs to know the religious philosophies to understand religious peoples.

In Christianity, it is immoral to kill an *innocent.* A death row inmate (and enemies at war) are not viewed as innocents, and therefore are not immoral to kill. A fetus is innocent since it is incapable of doing anything. That’s their real argument, but you may be greeted with a blank stare if you mention this to them.

          • Benny says:

I’m opposed to ALL murder of humans: abortion, death penalty, suicide, war…
This is one of the things I disagree with my fellow democrats on.

            • Llort says:

Your fellow democrats feel that since a fetus is not alive it cannot be killed.

Calling a fetus “alive” requires an arbitrary redefinition of the word.

              • entoman says:

I am fairly certain that a fetus meets all the qualifications for being biologically “alive” (and would you have guessed it, I’m a Biology major!).
Calling your assertion an “argument” requires an arbitrary redefinition of the word.

                • Llort says:

I am fairly certain that the concept of “life” is more than just a biological definition (and would you have guessed it, I have a doctorate in evolutionary biology and work as a professor in the subject!).

Student such as yourself who take a couple classes in a subject and think they know the ins-and-outs of of a particular issue (even one that transcends science into philosophy, ethics, morality, and yes, even religion) are a dime a dozen.

Now that I have stated this, you may be wondering: what is “life”? Is “life” merely a biological process? If so, why do we feel as though a comatose patient attached to a feeding tube is not “alive”? This introduces philosophy into the mix.

Do yourself a favor and read “The End of Life” by James Rachels.

    • WoundedIcon says:

I oppose both the grounds that killing can only be justified in certain circumstances. Abortion is always wrong because it can’t be morally, and when the death penalty isn’t morally justified (because of the changing abilities of society to imprison people and protect the populace) it’s wrong as well.

  106. I find this meme pretty accurate, specially the diversity of opinion. Liberal opinions are not always the most responsible or enlightened ones. I’m not defending conservative opinions, I think everybody needs to read more books about free thinking. Try The Penal Colony by Franz Kafka, the story is about conservative opinions but sums my opinion about both liberal and conservative.

    • Denis says:

The problem is that both liberal and conservatives are on the right side of the spectrum (liberal is on the left side of the united-states spectrum, but the United-States spectrum is on the right side of the international one). There can not be a checks and balances system in a country that just hesitate between moderate right and extreme right.

“bible… aura” – Nothing to do with arguments or politics, and also the people who say the first thing tend not to be the same people who say the second thing. This macro is dumb.

“hormones…acid” – If she’s taking LSD from strangers, her fear of hormones in milk may be a side effect of her scrambled brain. But it’s not a contradiction nor is it funny. This macro is dumb.

“Bush…Che Guevarra” – If you take context into account, this is not a contradiction. This macro is dumb.

“jobs…english poetry” – Reported unemployment in the US is high right now, and it doesn’t matter what degree(s) you have. This is not a contradiction. This macro is dumb.

      • George says:

If every unemployed person in America was an auto technician, you’d have a lot of unemployed auto technicians. While I agree that a lot of degrees don’t translate into anything useful in the real world (or much of anything besides teaching the same classes you took for them), the solution is a lot bigger than learning skills, because college degrees were as good as skills like yours for guaranteeing jobs up until a large majority of people started going to college. Also, if you’re Gen X or older, your generation is partly responsible for any entitlement issues because… well… a lot of people in the “OWS generation” grew up hearing things like “Get good grades! Go to college! You don’t want to end up flipping burgers do you?” from their parents, who heard it from their parents, whose parents… aren’t really in the workforce anymore, but if you are that old I salute you and don’t think this is your fault.

Yet many people consider themselves spiritual and enlightened while making fun of those who believe in Biblical references, especially left leaning people who consider the Bible to be anti-Feminist,

“hormones…acid” – If she’s taking LSD from strangers, her fear of hormones in milk may be a side effect of her scrambled brain…”

Then why did she accept the acid in the first place before her brain got scrambled? Horrible logic there.

“Bush…Che Guevarra” – If you take context into account, this is not a contradiction.”

Actually, Bush never ordered or carried out executions without trials. Even terrorist detainees have had military tribunals.

“jobs…english poetry” – Reported unemployment in the US is high right now…”

And people who just talk for a living aren’t necessary. People who have real world skills such as engineers will always be able to find some employment.

    • poo says:

actually it does matter which degrees you have. if you would pay attention, computer science majors have no trouble finding work and many sectors are actively hiring IT staff. i’ve been employed consistently for two years simply because of my degree in computer science.

  136. Zachary says:

Che Guevara was a revolutionist not a criminal

    • B4DM4N says:

All revolutionaries are war criminals. Even the ones who fight for good reasons. I defy you to find a single revolution that wasn’t aided by shady business or broken laws.

      • JohnBobMacFoof says:

So Gandhi was a war criminal ?

        • mcgrottys says:

Che was no ghandi… but yes ghandi is one exception of B4DM4Ns post, maybe even jesus (though not so much his followers) but i don’t exactly believe in religion but that is for others to decide. And also MLK but there was Malcolm X who did believe in violence.

But in all of the revolutionary wars I would agree that a lot of the men leading the fight could be considered war criminals. But we all have to remember that history is written by the victor. And I have to say that some may say that Che was not a war criminal but he did help a pretty bad one known as Fidel Castro.

          • Benny says:

I’m sorry, but Ghandi was no Ghandi either.

            His views on women’s rights:

If she cannot meet the assailant’s physical might, her purity will give her the strength to die before he succeeds in violating her.”

            His views on blacks:
“Ours is one continual struggle against a degradation sought to be inflicted upon us by the Europeans, who desire to degrade us to the level of the raw Kaffir whose occupation is hunting, and whose sole ambition is to collect a certain number of cattle to buy a wife with and, then, pass his life in indolence and nakedness.” (kaffir meaning black South African)

  137. Niki says:

    Her hair looks disturbing..

  138. dave says:

everyone who is sh*tting on this meme probably looks and acts like the person in the picture. take a f*cking joke.

  139. George says:

I love how people on both sides think this attacks liberalism in general… it really doesn’t any more than the existence of the Bill O’Reilly meme attacks conservatives in general. The point of both memes is to mock the idiocy and hypocrisy inherent in a lot of people’s beliefs, especially when those beliefs are dogmatic and self-righteous.

Also, since people seem to like to list these and attack them, I think I’ll present some counterpoints…

1st one: That’s really common and hypocritical. I think it’s fine to think some opinions shouldn’t be respected (if you can use hard facts to disprove them or their advocates don’t feel “respected” without permission to harm others because of them), but if you really support diversity you have to go all the way.

2nd one: Protesting oilsands doesn’t do s**t, so that gas is wasted no matter how “carbon negative” you are to make up for it. If you think it’s a problem there are better things to do about it.

3rd one: I don’t see why people think this is making fun of atheists. The point is that, a lot of hippies believe stuff that is at least as crazy as the Bible but mock established religions for believing crazy stuff. If you’re gonna believe anything you can’t prove, you can’t call other people out on doing the same. (You can call them out on what they do because of it, but s/he’s not doing that so it doesn’t matter).

4th one: Not only is her paranoia stupid and focused on the wrong target, but acid is completely unnatural (making it is so complicated and expensive that the scientist who invented it was responsible for 90% of the world’s supply until he got arrested, just because he was the only person with the equipment and access to raw materials needed to mass-produce it). Therefore, most of her arguments for not liking hormones in milk can be used to argue against any acid use.

5th: Bush replaced a sectarian dictatorship with total chaos using an attack unrelated to the target and false intelligence to justify invasion, but is believed by many to be a figurehead manipulated by others into doing so. Guevara replaced right-wing and/or imperial dictatorships with left-wing dictatorships and/or chaos, but was driven by ideals and not profit or power. Both were responsible (at least indirectly as the commanders of military forces) for killings that violate the laws of war. You can call it justified all you want; Guevara’s punishment from a court would be at least equal to Bush’s.

6th: Baby Boomers and Gen Xers taught their kids and grandkids that college education = jobs. The entitlement that teaching created isn’t funny; it’s sad, because those kids took on student loans expecting that to be true and then found out it wasn’t because everyone else and their parents believed it and now everyone has a bachelor’s in something. What is funny is the fact that people who majored in things like 12th century poetry really should have been able to figure that out in college the second they asked themselves, “What kind of job do I want to get with this?”

  140. Dawg says:

    lol at people getting offended.

And that’s coming from a Conservative.

  142. Derek says:

  151. Donnelly182 says:

    It’s funny because it’s true. I f*cking hate Liberals.

  152. Josh Lawes says:

    why isn’t it called hippie-crit?

  153. mcgrottys says:

okay know i have to disagree with you there. In iraq alone al queda until recently was killing about 75-100 thousand innocents a year, that does not include other county’s like Afghanistan, Yemen and more, and most those were all on purpose. You may say that that was al-queda and not Osama but osama was the leader of al queda and one of the largest funders just like how bush was commander and chief of the military.

Now after that you may think that I agree with the wars, well I do not. I believe that we should not become the world’s police and that we should take care of ourselves. Also people say it is about oil, well i don’t care about that because the only thing that we really needed to do was go and kill osama not go about nation building, we need to protect our country and by being in other countries we are making it worse. The only time we need to go to war is if our safety was really at stake.

  156. K says:

now, i’m not some psycho conservative war-monger or anything, but lets be honest here for a second. Bill O’Reilly is cool to pick on but a hippie isn’t? i think O’Reilly is a tool, but you cant pick on one extreme without the other(circling to the SUPPORTS DIVERSITY image). I’ve argued with hippies about social issues and it seems to constantly be one contradiction over another. Anyone who uses a Nokia, drives a Honda drinks south american coffee supports global trade, plain and simple. Quit being offended about something that reminds you of yourself and laugh it off. This site is supposed to to be a glimmer of funny in our boring, mundane lives…Quit being so negative and laugh, dammit!

  160. Doug McLean says:

Never mind the liberal / conservative argument, how about the meme argument – when is it forced and when is it natural? This one feels forced but maybe that’s just cos the picture itself isn’t funny, unlike say Conspiracy Keanu? Could I just take any old photo, put a caption on it, post it and call it a meme? Is it just about how widespread it is, or how good it is?

  161. Shasta Mcnasta says:

    With that said,
this meme is pretty stupid like most of the other “super opinionated” ones.
There are tons of people like this (e.g. hypocrites/fanatics) on both sides, on any side, and therefore it’s just silly and stereotypical.

You could easily just switch around the words and do it for the exact opposite side.

“Believes in talking snakes and a man who knows exactly what you’re doing at every moment — doesn’t let kids watch Toy Story because it’s ‘magical’ and ‘evil.’” (this one is based off of a true story of a woman who used to baby sit me)

“Killed three people, but repented day before execution…now going to Heaven.”

“Going to school to become a priest. Smokes and drinks at parties every weekend.” (also based on a true story of someone I know)

“Mom is a conservative senator. I strongly believe in everything she fights for! I also am a pregnant teen.” (cough, look at the news)

    Yeah, et cetera.
You can see how it’s really easy to do it to both sides (and I dislike both equally).
Now can we just have humor already?

I could have done this better, but late for a movie and I don’t care that much.

  166. Jallis370 says:
