First rate, first comment?
Not first.
Why do I have to be so first?
It’s a burden you’ll have to bear.
This movie was on TV a while ago and I couldnt hold back the tears ;w;
STILL a better love story than Twilight.
even taking a dump is a better love story than twilight
this
“Goodbye Sh*t! I’ll remember you always!”.
Agreed.
Name ONE love story worse than Twilight.
.
.
.
.
.
…Jersey Shore?
no people love to hate that show so it’s still a better love story
Sid & Nancy.
this^
minus the part where she dies at the end. what a b***h.

A better love story with almost no dialogue and told in a handful of minutes.
Agreed. It was one of the greatest love stories I’ve ever seen.
The dump thing?
YOU DON’T SAY…
and it only took them 8 minutes *manly tear*
this
Saddest animation since the Fry’s dog Futurama.
Yes that’s exactly what i thought when i was watching it.
This is the greatest, saddest, animated movie I have ever seen.
^ This. If the first 5 minutes don’t get you, the “Things We Did” scene will.
Wait till you watch Lion king
I guess I should feel weird that I’ve NEVER cried at a movie before.
Yes. Yes, you should.
good luck watching ‘elfenlied’
Oh god that is literally the best show ever ^.^
^ This.
Or clannad? Or other anime by Key. Oh and lets not forget some of the scenes in FMA.
Anyway UP had some of the saddest scenes ive seen in a while.
Anyone remember tobby?
NO.
The ending of Angel Beats had me depressed for a week, try that
I could do a Kanye West joke her but I’ll just list some of the saddest scenes in animated history;
The Death of Charlotte in “Charlotte’s web”
80% of the plot of “An American Tail”
The Death of several parents such as Mufasa from “The Lion King”, the death of Littlefoot’s mom in “The Land Before Time” and BAMBI’s MOOOOOM! B’AAWWWWW!!!
this^
FMA = so many tears
Or Chrno Crusade. The last episode had me bawling. It’s one of those “I’m not…I’m not gonna…not gonna cry… *cries like a baby*” moments.
friggin’ loved that show
i cried in Click when Adam Sandler was dying.
Go watch Fried Green Tomatoes. You will cry your freaking eyes out at one very short scene near the middle of it.
I have, and I thought it was good, but it has nothing like the emotional power of Up. I suspect it depends on your experiences in life.
Seriously when mufasa dies and simba trys to wake him up? that has to be the saddest scene ever
It’s certainly one of the best if not THE best animated love story ever. Ellie and Carl TRULY loved one another. I’m getting kinda misty just thinking about it.
Sadder than BAMBI!
try seing the grave of the fireflies… I had never cried at a movie, that movie made me crie for a whole afternoon, and depressed me for weeks…
seeing*
Barefoot Gen is another fun one.
indeed..
Grave of the Fireflies is very depressing. Good movie though.
Omg. Grave of fireflies is the saddest thing I’ve ever seen. A few months after watching it, I went with my boyfriend to a japanese grocery. From a few aisles over, I heard that metal clanking shaking sound. My heart dropped and I started crying right there in the store. It sold the same hard candy and my boyfriend found it and shook the can. While I could finally get it together to find him, the basterd had a sick smile on his face.
cool story bro
^this
I cried like a baby during this movie, it’s awful
Grave of the Fireflies still makes me sob like a lil’ b***h.
Such a well told flick, so monumentally soul crushingly depressing.
my dog skip got me, first movie I ever legit cried at, watched it when I was like 12 or 14, rewatching lion king gets me in ways it didn’t when I was <10, and UP had me tearing up, my dad was crying like a little girl, and the Toy Story 3.
Goddammit Disney, why do you have to touch me in all of the right places…
and yes I know how that came out.
I bought the Ghibli boxset after watching some of the more popular.fluffy movies, and put Grave of Fireflies on, after five minutes I was crying “THIS ISN’T FUN AND WHIMSICAL!!” D:
this^
sadest movie ever
Yea I almost lost my man card at the beginning of that movie.
I lost mine to Milo & Otis.
Crying doesn’t make you lose your man card! Manly tears, etc!
Whenever I see a man crying, I kick him in his tiny testicles. That way, at least he has a legitimate reason to cry then.
It takes a big man to cry… And it takes an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
There are only a few movie scenes where men are authorized to cry. The gold standard used to be Old Yeller’s death. We may PERHAPS add to that the death of Mufasa. A love story? Not so much.
Men don’t cry… they weep! *shakes fist at the sky*
MANLY TEARS = Legit reason
Spoiler alert?
Nope. Happened in the first part of the movie!
This all happens in like the first 5 minutes of the movie..
Yea it sucks when you’re watching it on TV and think that that first 5 minutes of the movie don’t matter (as with most movies) so you start watching it late.
The movie’s been out for over 2 years?
More adventure in those few minutes than in ANY twilight movie.
This and To The Moon have the saddest story
But they both have good stories.
Thanks for spoiling it OMG
First 5 minutes, no major spoilers.
Yeah,what an asshat,I wanted to watch it….
Yeah, I was pretty upset when somebody told me Rosebud was his sled, but it didn’t really matter because the kid told him he was a ghost after they ate Soylent Green which is people.
You forgot to mention his father, Darth Vader.
But don’t forget that Snape kills Dumbledore.
Nicolas Cage is Kaiser So-say?
Citizen kane?
This literally happens in the first 5 minutes of the movie. Pretty sure you can still watch it without it being ruined…
Yeah, i mean he doesnt even beat the villain and become the asian kid’s foster father till the end!
It’s been out quite a while, we can’t keep from spoiling it forever.
He’s forever alone nao…
I actually think it might have been a miscarriage, seeing as you wouldn’t set up a nursery unless you were already expecting. Which makes the whole thing worse.
Like Wall-e, end this movie after the first act and you’ve got a classic. Let it run and you’ve got bloated overindulgence.
I… agree, actually. They both start out quiet and reflective and become full-on summer movies. BUT, Wall-e’s second half does include the space dancing scene, which is the absolute high point of the film, imo.
i hate people who think they are too old for a childrens movie.
I almost cried when I watched it! But I was in a theater with a ton of people so I forced myself not too. If I was home I probably would have lol
Yeah, I remember almost crying then. Which is weird because I used to watch things like Bambii when I was younger and I never cried.
i always thought she had a miscarriage, why would they get all of the stuff for a baby before they were pregnant?
You just doubled my pain.
Maybe they were just so excited to try that they decided to prepare for it before it happened. I dunno.
That’s what I thought too, which made the movie even more hurtful.
Cried five times during, once after. HE PROMISED HE WOULD TAKE HER TO SOUTH AMERICA AND HE NEVER DID AND THEN HE BOUGHT TICKETS AND THEN SHE DIED. DEAD.
Man with tears, noob.
no movie has ever made me cry.
no book has made me cry.
i dont feel anything for fictional characters.
Damn bots. gtfo!
Cool story, bro.
watch out, we’re dealing with a badass over here
Are you ginger?
Watch Life is Beautiful (La vita é bella). You’ll cry like a baby.
Oh man, you have a point. That’s one of the best movies ever.
This movie made me cry like a baby, along with Wall-E and Toy Story 3.
Why do Pixar movies do that to me?
Because the guys at Pixar are genius’s
Toy Story 3 was incredible at the end, that scene in the incinerator was incredibly moving.
Oh, god.
And then, just after I’d finally regained my composure, (SPOILER ALERT) the little girl makes Woody wave goodbye to Andy. I had to sit in the theater during the credits making small-talk so they wouldn’t see how red and teary my eyes were.
why is the ginger crying? everyone knows they don’t have souls
Manly tears have been shed
She’s way hotter then him. Just sayin’.
That’s what makes it work. She loves him for who he is and he loves her back. It doesn’t matter who is hotter, they fit together. That judgemental sort of thinking is why some people won’t ever truly love someone else.
No manly tears for Bolt? Penny AND Mittens both have so many heart-string-tugging scenes.
They do? I haven’t seen that in a while so I don’t remember a lot except that it wasn’t by Pixar…
I’m I the only one that gets especially sad when it’s a (kinda sad) movie about some sweet, old grandpops-like-person? I guess i have found my soft spot..
How about…old yeller? O.o
LIEK DIS IF U CRYD EVERTIM
If you do not cry in the first 5-10 minutes of this movie, you have no soul.
Cried the hell out of the first 5 minutes. And then again with the scrapbook.
25 years old. Man.
If you didn’t cry. I’m pretty sure something is wrong with you.
I…I’m sorry to say this, but I didn’t tear up during this bit of the movie. I mean, I got the emotional vibe, yeah, just…no tears.
BUT if it makes any of you feel better, I cried a damn river near the end of the movie. Just…DAMN.
Yep, I just did this last night
sooooo true
Yay!!
I Didn’t think this would get front page!
I’m too apathetic to cry at movies… I never cried at merely watching those so-called “dramatic” movies…
Watch out, guys. We’re dealing with a badass over here.
”Oh, they can’t have children bwawawahahaaaaaaa” Is adoption illegal in pixar movies?
Not being able to have children means you are avoiding overpopulation and no child support when you get a divorce.
i enjoyed that part more than the actual movie, best scene ever, a womans life story.
I’m sorry but I’m going to have to include the end of REAL STEEL. made me tear up.
Did anyone else cry after seeing Marley & Me?
cant imagine why people will not give this 5 burgers…
