  1. crispers11 says:

    not funny

    • SomebodysNobody says:

Then you didn’t get it D:

      • Shloop says:

No, I think we all get it… the meme itself is just not funny.

        • Dschdsch says:

Yeah, and why “Ordinary Muslim Man”? I guess an ordinary Muslim man doesn’t give a freakin’ damn about America burning calories and fighting obesity, as doesn’t the rest of the world.

          • jovifcp says:

you know why 9gag is kicking memebase’s a**? because of nerdy haterz saying: “this meme is not funny”, “this is repost”, “totally forced”, etc, etc, etc.

        • Earlzo says:

It’s funny because you read the top line and assume it’s a sterotype about muslism’s being terrorists and wanting the west to burn. but then you read on and realize they got you, it’s actually a muslim trying to motivate americans (he’s trying to support/be nice) the last thing you expected after just reading the top line. It’s a simple joke – it catches you out as being sterotypical, a trait which most of the viewers will uptake due to the suggestive firstline. if the picture was a caucasian then you wouldn’t think like that and it wouldn’t be funny. you end up laughing at yourself for falling for the trap.

      • Name says:

What is there to get? Americans are fat. H wants to see the world burn and also to fight americans.. (obesity ->America)
        Lame funny..

        • SomebodysNobody says:

          My point exactly ;)

        • Earlzo says:

I think you’ve misunderstood it. It’s not a ‘I fight for this, but surprisingly also care about this’ joke. it’s just a joke which feeds of the viewer by tripping them into making an assumption before reading the whole story. I’m just giving my opinion, I do see how you saw the joke from your angle, give mine a chance, that’s all.

    • Zoe says:

      Random fat american appears.

    • einarssone says:

If you didn’t find it funny, you were probably offended by it.
If you were offended by it, you’re probably a fat american.
If you’re a fat american, what are you doing on the internet when you should be exercising?

      • kempol says:

        fatty got owned :D

      • kent says:

You find it funny because you’re one of the brainwashed idiots that think the US is the only country people can bash, and that Americans are the only people who aren’t allowed to defend their country or take offense at remarks that – if made about any other country – would be considered ignorant.

        • Peregrine says:

Watch Stand-Up Comedy – specifically Russel Peters. I think all his jokes are hilarious, and he makes fun of America, India, the Middle-East, China, Japan, Britain, France, and of course my native land, Canada.

Learn to look at yourself, and wryly accept that there are some things that could be made fun of in fun. Get a sense of humour, and quickly, or else I’m afraid you’ll find A LOT of everyday things very offensive.

          • uncl dolan says:

            1+ internetz

          • kent says:

You’re Canadian. Every single thing you idiots ever criticize the US for is something that is worse in your own country. Your entire version of history is rewritten to give you pride. You bash the US as the basis of your nationalism, and it’s all based on lies.

Anti-Americanism is a mental disorder, and it’s even worse among Canadians because you border a country that you’re dependent on for everything. 90% of your GDP is owed directly to the US. That’s why everything that comes out of your stupid mouths is “Canada is better than American because…” followed by nonsensical, factually inaccurate crap that you’ve been told as part of your Canadian Content media laws that are created for the sole purpose of boosting nationalism.

          • Sr.G says:

The plural of “anecdote” is not “data.”

    • dsh says:

Yes, yes. “OMG, this is soooo offensive.”

  2. lol says:

ordinary muslim man is a troll

  3. Kilian says:

These could be construed as somewhat offensive…at least, I feel some Fremdscham upon seeing them. But the message is good: Islam isn’t any more stupid than any other religion.

    • Anon says:

Except for those passages telling you to burn the unbelievers.

      • Alex says:

Yeah, Jesus was being a jerk when he said that.

        • Copperhell says:

Nah, religions have their good sides and bad sides. Then let the believers believe and unbelievers unbelive cuz’ I want to believe in a world where everyone believes in what they want to believe and doesn’t tinker with what other people wants to believe.

          World peace like a boss.

          • Sr.G says:

Sadly, many beliefs justify strife with unbelievers. I’d rather belief take a backseat to humanism, but as long as a belief says “NOPE. ME > ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY,” it’s troublesome.

      • Shadowhumper says:

You clearly haven’t read the Bible is you think those are bad.

        • aGuy says:

And You Probably Never Read The Qur’an, Get Your Facts Right :)

          • Peregrine says:

As a matter of course, I’ve read both (I felt obligated to read both of them since I blog regularly about Political / Religious issues). I’m tempted to say the Bible was far more violent just to punch some of these self-righteous Christians in the face, but no – they both are essentially the same level of violent.

      • Mystic says:

You people seem to be forgetting everything that happened throughout the middle ages and all under the veil of being done for the good, for jesus.
all the crusades, witch burnings etc. happened in the christian world.
you should put religion aside and look at it from a different angle – from the cultural point of view. while the arabic/islam culture researched mathematics, medicine and astronomy, severs, …people in europe lived in their own sh*t. Think about it for a second…

    • SomebodysNobody says:

You come to mememase and talk about something being “offensive” O_O Have you been here long?

    • lola says:

dont use words when you dont know how they´re supposed to be used. fremdschäm-fail…

  4. Alex says:

    Misleading Muslim is misleading.

  5. I'mInSpace! says:

Go away, forced meme. Nobody wants you.

    • ando says:

      Random fat American appears.

      • I'mInSpace! says:

        Incorrect.

15 year old Australian that hates America and thinks the September 11 attacks were the greatest thing ever to happen to Americans/America.

        • Fouad says:

Exactly! A majority of the people who hate america, are non-arab/muslim.
Very little arabs (and or muslims) hate the US, me being an arab, I’ve lived in America for years now, and I have no intention on destroying ot hating it.

  6. einarssone says:

Fact: more than 60 percent of americans are overweight.

    • G man says:

Fact: An Ordinary Muslim Man wouldn’t give a f*ck about the obesity rates in America. America, go ahead. Drop the u out of words like colour, the o out of moustache, the i out of aluminium. Whatever the f*ck you like. You’re the world’s equivalent of an attention seeking problem child, so from now on we’re just going to ignore you.

    • kent says:

Fact: There are several countries that are more obese than the US and yet they’re never stereotyped as being fact. The “fat American” thing is a convenient, cheap shot taken by people (who are sometimes fatter than Americans) designed to help cope with living in an inferior country.

      • Peregrine says:

Unfortunately, America is not ‘superior’ to anything. Sorry to break it to you.

        • colonelpanic says:

We are superior in terms of fatness! :D

Unless you’re from Tonga, then we got nothing.

        • kent says:

The US invented basically everything of importance in the last 100 years. The airplane, the integrated circuit, the microprocessor, the personal computer, the laser beam, digital music, the internet. Basically every major IT company in the world is American. Microsoft, Apple, Google, Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Cisco Systems, Oracle, Yahoo. Every technology that you’re using to post on this website, which is an American website, was invented by Americans.

The US sequenced the human genome. An American (Norman Borlaug) was the father of the Green Revolution, creating a wheat variety that is credited with saving a billion lives. The US landed a man on the moon when most countries didn’t have the technological prowess to build a vacuum cleaner. The US mapped the cosmos with the Hubble telescope and dated the universe, discovered water on the moon and Mars, surveyed the outer solar system’s planets and their moons, currently has a probe exiting our solar system, the furthest and fasted object made by humans. Currently, the US is at the forefront of every possible field. Almost every innovation of note since the end of WWII has taken place with the US at the helm.

People who think the US isn’t superior are brainwashed because of the very fact the US is superior. You need to believe lies to keep your naive world view.

      • GrimNFrostbittenJew says:

Do you truly believe your country is superior in absolutely all aspects to the rest of the world, or are you just an exceptionally skilled troll?

        • kent says:

The US is not superior in all aspects but is the best country in the world overall. The US leads the world, and rightfully so. And it’s because of this fact that non-Americans choose to believe an inaccurately negative description of the US. The truth hurts.

    • natalie says:

sounds legit, but I keep hearing that and nobody I know is fat! I mean, I could go to the mall today and find maybe 10 fat people, tops. Maybe it’s because I live in California, not some backwater southern state :/

  7. Ragno says:

This one’s pretty much like the last one

  8. pengembala says:

    hahahahah

    i’m a Muslim

    and this is damn funny

    hahahahhahah

  9. MBW says:

Some men just want to watch the world burn calories and fight obesity.

  10. atandt says:

I think that what the people who object to this particular meme are asking for is a Christian meme, based on stereotypical sayings attributed to this religion, with a punchline that turns the leading sentence on its head.

    Such as:

HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF THE FATE OF YOUR SOUL

    (stock photo of stereotypical xian)

RECORDS? VINTAGE VINYL IS IN DEMAND AGAIN.

For those of you confused as to why there would be a backlash and a need for a majority religion enjoying privilege to be so whiny, Christians tend to hate giving equal time to other religions being depicted, as “freedom of religion” means to their ears “freedom for everyone to be Christian”.

They like to cry foul when any other creed, faith, belief, or lifestyle is given any attention. It oppresses them. Honest!

  11. OujiSama says:

I don’t know how to even begin to respond to this.
Firstly, a MUSLIM is not a race. Muslim’s are follower’s of Islam, a religion and Christianity is also a religion.
Secondly, they make fun of Christians all the time. You’re probably never on memebase to actually see them or can’t tell a Christian joke from any other joke.
Thirdly, never comment again. It hurts my brain just to read such ignorance, especially in my own religion, when a person cannot tell the difference from being a Muslim and following Islam.

  12. flaghan says:

hey i’m a religious muslim and i thought this was funny

  13. Wenderbread says:

This meme would be funny if it just made fun of the religion. The terrorist jokes are just ignorant and lame.

  14. McFlaze says:

This meme is flippin’ awesome. Stop hatin’. It points the unfair viewpoint that “ALL Muslims are terrorists” in a humorous way. Whats not to like?

Also, why do people call “forced”? I doesn’t matter. If people like it, its a meme, whether or not the creator had that intention.

  15. Derp says:

Some men just want to watch the world burn
    calories.

  16. Fouad says:

Alright guys, seriously. I’m Muslim, and I think these memes are FREAKING hilarious!
Calm down guys, we can’t stop people from thinking we’re terrorists, so we might aswell just joke and have fun with it. Nice job artist.
