I’m skeptical, but this guy claims to be 86 years old and made a pretty rad (though TL;DR) rage comic about his life. It’s probably at least one part totally fake, but it’s also definitely two parts heart-warming and adorable. I really hope it’s true, because I’d love to be headshot by someone my grandfather’s age.

Regarding it’s authenticity; I am 53 (yareally) and humbly assert that I have some talent for recognizing a “literary voice”. No one’s sock puppets fool me if I know them well enough.
This strikes me as real and I looked very carefully at every word and the phrasing. He sounds a lot like my parent’s generation.
Phrases like “to a man” and “not so disinclined” are a few examples of usage that is period correct or even slightly archaic for someone claiming to have learned to speak at that time.
The general carefulness, (people would think poorly of you if you misused punctuation or misspelled) and attitudes all ring true.

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever read. The fact that I found it on memebase is a little surprising but it also gives me hope for the future. This is the only way I can think of that teenagers and young adults would find this and actually take it to heart. I mean, can you imagine Beiber telling us about this? No. This was truly moving and heartwarming. Thank you Awesome Grandpa, you made me feel hope for the first time in… well, years.
