  1. Bobrella says:

    God that song was annoying.

  2. sa says:

Tl;dr. Learn to be a better Ducreux, Elz.

  3. Drongo says:

    FIRST!

  4. Guppo says:

Definitely a new top-40 hit for the summer of 2011!

  5. JK says:

I take u to the candy shop?

  6. Tylasaur says:

And let you lick the lollipop!

  7. DinoDude65 says:

    I shall accompany thee*
Thou is subjective; thee is objective.
    U mad, bro?

  8. Darkage says:

OK rap song ir right ( i guess) but this isn’t archaic english. Just because you use more words it won’t be archaic…

    • elz says:

Oops, I didn’t think Joseph Ducreux memes necessarily had to be archaic English. My bad…
Well I guess the people voted anyway.

  9. Lolerskates says:

They actually had words for candy shop that were not glucose-fructose based sweets boutique. If you are going to attempt this meme do it right the first time.

    • sa says:

No. No it’s not. It’s to do it verbosely *as well as* archaically.

    • sa says:

Also. He didn’t mean arouse to dissolve or ingest. It’s supposed to be lick. “lick the lollipop”? Yeah.

    • Lolerskates says:

That is fine it should be arouse with thy tongue to put forth a phallic sense towards licking said confection. However confectioner or any French/Euro sweet shop name would have been better appropriated in this meme.

  10. hurpaaaaa says:

“Induced?” You don’t know what words mean.

    • Zoe says:

Elz was being a sport about people’s critique and in her/his one response showed he’s willing to learn from mistake. No need to keep bashing him. Why don’t you make the effort (not that i am) and give an example of an adequate Ducreux phrasing for this?

  11. BenB92 says:

finally a ducreux i could figure out myself without thinking too long…
    but it is kinda lame…

  12. kilian says:

“Spherical”, not “circular”. And though I don’t know what word would be correct, I’m quite certain that “induced” is wrong.

  13. wtf says:

I’m pretty sure people in the 1600′s didn’t say “monosaccharide”

  14. Nephren-ka says:

Best Ducreux I’ve seen in a while.

  15. Anonymous says:

    YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG

  16. Anon says:

This is terrible. WAY too wordy, and I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that Ducreux didn’t know about “surcrose,” “fructose,” and “monosaccharides.”

    • gingerninjasam says:

And we could just realise that he spoke “ye olde”, not “ye explain every thing in the biggest possible words you can think of”

  17. Powell says:

    this is getting worse everyday..
old time talk =/= big words

  18. Herpy Derp says:

    mmm…..Indeed

  19. Dude A. Potamus says:

    TL;DR

  20. Old Hat says:

I like how the post has a rating of 4.5/5 but all of the comments are negative.

  21. adssss says:

I don’t get it please tell original

  22. Awesomebob says:

    wut?

Someone just surfed a thesaurus for this quote. Probably started this when the meme was still new, just now getting it out.

  23. roflcopter says:

    too long didnt read lol

  24. skippeh says:

    To the apothecary

Revel thee in mine sweet horehound

  25. patrick rice says:

glucose-fructose is a disaccharide, failtard. Hence GLUCOSE and FRUCTOSE (count two)

  26. Curly J says:

The sugar used in lollipops is sucrose, which is a disaccharide, not a monosaccharide. Just sayin’.

  27. Cat says:

Did anyone else notice the carefully constructed rhyme?

  28. Ryan Waxx says:

Excuse me, MORON WHO CREATED THIS POST.

This is Joseph Ducreux, not chemistry class.

Learn the difference or don’t post.

Correction: You obviously haven’t the wit to learn the difference. Just don’t post. To be on the safe side, you should sever your hands with a chainsaw.

  29. Slavebot01 says:

    Translation plz?

  30. Jewonfire says:

    tl;dr
