I believe they’re on Splash Mountain, at Disneyland. The photo looks like a cropped version of the ones riders can purchase after they get off.
And I agree: it’s stupid. You paid to get into the theme park and enjoy the rides. You can play monopoly for free at home! (Besides which, the game board and the pieces were probably lost and/or damaged during this ridiculous stunt.)
It’s called making a fun photo, and it’s obviously intentional. How is it stupid?
It’s easy, buy a board game set, glue the pieces to the board and you got an awesome picture of you and your friends playing monopoly on splash mountain. That would be the only time I’d ever buy those damn overpriced photos.
If I worked the ride I’d buy it for them.
