  5. Mycroft says:

Egypt! Y u no listen to peps! :(

    • Orly says:

Because the corrupted dictator in power is a tool.

And don’t forget the corrupted dictator part.

      • Maulkin says:

But the people who want to replace him are Islamic extremists who would do… well, pretty much the exact same thing, but not just in times of crisis. And you can say goodbye to the religious freedoms they’re currently enjoying…

        • teatime of death says:

You mean some of the people, not everyone is automatically an islamic extremist, just because they’re Muslim and protesting against there pro USA president (I use this in the most dictator-like way possible) who has been around for 23 years, and is pretty oppressive.

          • Maulkin says:

The regime that comes into power will be like every other islamic fascist state, sorry. Does the “Muslim Brotherhood” ring any bells/set off any alarms?

Sorry, but if you expect the group that rises to power to be anything but an Islamic fascist state… Well, I got some land in New Orleans I’d like to sell ya! Dirt cheap!

            • iB says:

              1. The scary word used by Mubarak to keep him in place is the Muslim Brotherhood. You would never know it from your media, but the Brotherhood is non-violent, has always opposed al-Qaeda, and condemned 9/11 and other acts of international terrorism. They want Democracy that Muslims never had.

              2. Mubarak favored money than his people. Egyptians would rather be FREE and die hungry in a desert rather than to live humiliated and raped by a money-loving President and Vice-President (and the whole corrupted Government).

            • Orly says:

Oh great, so dictatorship is pretty cool when it suits USA? How déjà-vu.

People want to kick the dictator out and have elections. You just dislike what the people may chose.

You are the true fascist. :)

              • Maulkin says:

Excuse me, but the group has links to terrorist organizations, and has handed out pamphlets of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and other anti-Jewish tracts, as well as other anti-Jewish tracts… and one of the leaders of it has called for war with Isreal.

                http://www.jpost.com/Headlines/Article.aspx?id=206130

Mubarak, for all his faults, operates a secular government – that is, decisions aren’t made by the religious leaders, but by political leaders, and a person’s religion does not automatically qualify or disqualify someone from work/position/office/etc. But when an Islamic Theocracy takes over, it usually imposes Sharia law and, well… Becomes just another despotic dictatorship. Yes, Mubarak isn’t perfect – indeed, if this were a ‘people’s revolt’, one that I could believe would result in greater protection of human rights and human liberties, I’d be all for it. But it’s not. It’s a theocratic revolt, and that theocracy is Islam. And Islam, as a political system, is not conducive to the protection of human dignity, let alone rights and liberties.

To summarize, THESE ARE NOT PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE IN POWER.

                • satsumo says:

Terrorists plant bombs, the US invades other countries with enormous firepower, or cripples their economy. Islamic rule has decisions made by religious leaders, ‘democracy’ has decisions made by politicians. Both groups base their decisions on ideology (at best) though more often self-interest and greed.

The people of Egypt should choose who rules them, not the US, the UN or people on the internet. Whatever the fault of Islamic rule (and I agree there are many), the Egyptians want Mubarak gone.

                • Ed Marshall says:

                  Quit being a paranoid primate.

              • Ye says:

Yes, our government leaders supported THIS dictator so it means the citizens have to be ok with the next dictator?

Note: I’m not too familiar with any of the events taking place in egypt, i’m just poking at your individual statement.

  6. bluth bananas says:

I guess this is the closest they’ll get to the Internet for awhile…

    • pimpazoid says:

      this is clearly not shopped

      • macandcheez1 says:

        not shopped at all

      • legion says:

Yes it is, part of the words are sticking out of the sign, dumbpanzee (please, moderators, make this a random word for the lulz).

        • teatime of death says:

Paper, it can be pasted IRL onto a poster, and it can actually stick out of the sign. Dumbosapien

          • legion says:

That’s funny, I don’t see any tape. Problem, YETIsapien. (again, good mods, for the lulz :)

            • me says:

              Glue? Paste? double sided tape?

            • Bloobaalaaa says:

You are dumb. You are really dumb, for real.

              Or a troll.

            • pimpazoid says:

I’ve been working with Photoshop for quite some time now. If that was shopped at all I would have noticed it right away, Doucheysapien.

              • Zetsu14 says:

The right side has a blur effect all the way down it’s curve until the bottom right hand corner, where it mysteriously disappears. The left side corner, right next to the ‘M’ in “Mubarak”, has a misplaced red pixel or two. And the entire line that contains the phrase “Mubarak y u no step down” was placed at a slight slope only relative to the screen, not the poster or it’s normal bend. The bottom of the left side of that same bar also sticks out with sharp resolution, and doesn’t match the blur all the way on the left side.

I’ve been taking classes for videogame design, and only LISTENING to the class next door, which teaches photoshop. Why couldn’t YOU notice all the crap, that I did.

                • pimpazoid says:

have you ever considered that it might have been due to the camera?

                  • Zetsu14 says:

I did, but it wouldn’t make sense on why things that are at the same distance from the camera, and have similar light levels, would be shaded differently, or have different pixel blurs.

      • darki says:

yeah, its totally real, I can tell by the pixels

    • Mtac says:

definitely not shopped, or else it would have been the real memeface

    • kidbizarre says:

Um… if you were going to go to the trouble of shopping this wouldn’t you use the actual memeface? Just saying… Try harder, young troll.
